I picked up this book because I’ve been a longtime fan of Corey Taylor and his music. I’m from Eastern Kentucky, Christian, female, and 20’s so most people would be unsuspecting of me aligning myself with the metal/rock genre let alone open myself up to the opinions of such. I’ve grown tired of the judgemental discord especially where I come from so this read was more than refreshing. It pulled me out this conservative, religious, narrow-minded realm and helped me see that there’s others out there that agree with me on some things. Thank goodness because I was starting to suffocate. This book is a look into the social, political and ideological differences in America. I found myself going back and rereading frame-worthy quotes, facts and statements. Even though I don’t agree or lineup with everything in the book it was tastefully fulfilling and assisted me to see America through a different lense, however I found myself agreeing and laughing more than not. Well done!

This book reads easily, as though you're having a conversation with the author himself. It is not a book to change your opinions, it is just a real, honest, and colorfully written account of the author's viewpoint and how his experiences shaped that viewpoint. Excellent read especially if you don't share his beliefs. This book will, if you read it with your mind even cracked a little bit open, help a reader with opposing views to maybe understand how another person's life will shape their manner of thinking and bring them to a different viewpoint than their own. Excellent read, highly recommended.

What doesn’t Corey Taylor do? This is another insightful book by a true renaissance man. He puts it all out there for all to see, the good, the bad and the ugly of politics in our country today. Lest you think this just an anti-Trump book don’t, it’s anti-system, anti-politics as we have it.

Personally I am not into politics and all of that jazz whatsoever, but Corey's writing style makes even the most uninteresting topics (to me) exciting and a joy to read. He says the things that others, and especially authors, just won't do. I've read all of his others and will continue to buy them, hopefully there will be another!

It was a good book! It’s nice to read something that has absolute blunt in your face honesty. If you don’t like that or if you’re easily offended don’t read this. If you like someone who tells it like it is and is brutally honest, this is definitely the book for you! I would definitely recommend this book!

I'm only about 4 chapters deep so far, but this book is amazing so far. I've read Corey's collective works to date and I have never been disappointed. This one is no exception. I highly recommend reading it.

Corey Taylor is an awesome narrator!
