I'm a Harvard grad, SAT/ACT Perfect Scorer, and professional SAT tutor with 17 years of full-time experience (including a stint with the Princeton Review).The Princeton Review's "Cracking the SAT Premium Edition 2018" is a decent book for the average student. It includes 7 synthetic practice tests and lots of general SAT strategy and learning advice, but there are much more detailed and thorough publications out there for those seeking a high (1400+) score on the exam.I recommend the College Panda (Nielson Phu), Critical Reader (Erica Meltzer), Ivy Global, PWN the SAT (Mike McClenathan) and SAT Prep Black Book series of books as superior SAT prep alternatives. Also don't forget to utilize Khan Academy, a free online SAT prep service that has partnered with the College Board, and to buy the Official SAT Study Guide, 2018 Edition The Official SAT Study Guide, 2018 Edition (Official Study Guide for the New Sat), which is the only source of real SAT questions in print (keep in mind that the 7 tests in this book, like all third-party tests, are not real SAT exams).For my full list of SAT prep recommendations, you can google "SAT Action Plan." I had high hopes.I have an extremely intelligent, full IB student (Junior) who has never been a great tester. His PSAT scores increased gradually but still, highest score (Fall of 2017) was only 1040. That will not do and is not representative-at all-of his abilities. So we ordered Cracking the SAT in preparation for the April 2018 test date.He created a study schedule based around this book, that went on for about 5 weeks and included taking FOUR practice tests. His scores on those steadily increased too, and the last one was 1450.So color me surprised to see his whopping 1280 today on the actual SAT. I can't help but wonder if Cracking the SAT was not really representative of the test.Onward to retest. @#($*(@#_)!!

This is a book that every student should acquire since he has 7 complete exam practices. so that students can practice before the final exams and have a better tool to feel safer in the days of the exams. my son is helped a lot by this type of books.

Simply the most comprehensive review of SAT and strategies. Some typos - some poor grammar choices at time that can confuse potential student - but it is a tomb!
